Truck fleet sustainable thanks to biodiesel

For years now, the entire NOTHEGGER transport fleet has been fueled with high-quality biodiesel produced in Austria. Powered by low-emission Euro 6 engines, harmful NOx emissions are reduced to a minimum, thus protecting the environment.

Electric vehicle fleet

Since 2016, the entire car fleet has been converted to electric mobility using electricity from renewable energies. Numerous charging stations have been set up at the branches and are available to employees free of charge.

Simulator training for truck drivers

In 2016, a unique high-tech simulator was purchased in the industry. As part of the driver academy, drivers undergo a multi-stage training program. Damage to vehicles and trailers is expected to be reduced by approximately 15% and fuel consumption by at least 5% as a result of a more defensive driving style. The savings target is equivalent to the volume of 50 tank semi-trailers, 4,000 tons of CO2, or the average annual electricity consumption of 580 single-family homes.

• HACCP – Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points
The HACCP is an internationally recognized method for identifying and eliminating potential threats to food safety. This certification is essential when transporting and storing temperature controlled foods.

• SQAS – Safety and Quality Assessment System
SQAS serves to ensure the protection of personnel, population and environment. The audit includes compliance with legal requirements and goes far beyond the requirements of ISO 9001:2000. Components of the ISO 14001 certification are integrated as well. Bearing the SQAS seal (recognized Europe wide), we demonstrate the highest quality, environmental and safety standards in our company.

• ATP-Certificate
The ATP certificate is required for the international carriage of perishable foods within the scope of the ATP Agreement. It certifies the means of transport is suitable for the transport of perishable foods according to the ATP class.

• Climate: Active Award
The Nothegger Group has repeatedly been awarded for expertise in climate protection by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture & Forestry, Environment and Water Management.

• ADR / Hazardous Goods Officer
The European Convention on the carriage of dangerous goods by Road (the abbreviation: ADR, from Accord européen relatif au transport international Dangereuses par Route of marchandises) contains special provisions for motorized transport regarding packaging, freight securing and labelling of hazardous materials.

• Data Protection Officer
The protection and security of data have become a central component in most companies. The Nothegger group have a dedicated position for this.

• Waste transportation
The import and export of waste is strictly regulated in Europe and is subject to registration. As a registered company in the EU, we are entitled to perform such transports. For Italy, an Albo-registration (“Albo Gestori ambientali”) is available.

• GMP+B4 International feed transport
We are certified by the DEKRA Certification GmbH to accomplish feed transports according to GMP + B4 ( GMP + – Registration No. PDV110568)
